I cant wait to have our Platter-Party so I added some images that I like of ceramic made plates and utensils. I love the simple ivory plates below. The shapes, sizes and rawness of them. The blue matte colored splatter of glaze is swanky. I love the ripped cardboard style edges and textures of the ivory plates below on the right and the black lining on the shell like plates with the sun flowers in them are really stylish!
A beginning course dealing with the basics of building forms with clay. Utilizing coil building, slab building, pinching, wheel forming and slip-casting methods, students will work with low-mid fire and raku clays. Finishing techniques include underglazes, slip colored glazes, majolica, raku glazes sgraffito and stenciling and cold finishes. Instruction is given learning how to fire electric, gas fired kilns. Glaze and glaze formulation is also taught.

Kelicia Pitts on Plates :: Textures :: Splattering Glaze and Style!
I'm inspired to try and get the work I've made in class PUBLISHED and wanted to share the thought with my classmates! I found this print magazine titled "Darling" on another blog about The art of being a woman and I may submit to them or other websites and blogs I find online.
